Not your grandma’s fabric store

Our story begins exactly where one ends -

Our dear friend JoAnn became a historical entity in the spring of 2025. Her closing created a void in the fabric and fiber sphere and left countless quilters, sewers, knitters, and crocheters (‘hookers’) without a home.

Raised in the 90s by women who were crafters, we grew up in JoAnn Fabrics. We remember her in her hey-dey — A magical rainbow of colors and textures, aisles of every tool and accessory known to man, the whirr of sewing machines, happy fellow seamstresses, and classrooms (plural!) full of people learning how to sew, knit, or crochet.

At the time of our adulthood, she had evolved into something unrecognizable. The selections of fabric, yarn, tools, and notions began to shrink as she filled with premade home decor and children’s toys. In the wake of COVID, classes were a thing of the past.

As practicers of the fabric and fiber arts, we are uniquely positioned to know what the “Granny Hobby” crowd is looking for: materials, tools, and most importantly a safe-space to learn and build their crafts.

We look forward to meeting you and helping you craft your dreams!
